The League of Extraordinary Gz - “Concealed Weapons”

If yall have been sleeping, The League of Extraordinary Gz is a hip hop collective based out of Austin, Texas and one of the most talented group of emcees in the south right now. Their first mixtape “Concealed Weapons” contains various tracks from each group’s past mixtapes as well as some new tracks. Download the mixtape and check them out and if you’re in Austin for SXSW, they are an official SXSW showcasing band.

Arguably one of DMV’s most talented musicians, Oddisee, drops another collection of tracks in his seasonal collection. This one has some verses from Homeboy Sandman and Oddisee’s Diamond District bandmate and fellow DMVer, X.O.

I missed Odd Autumn, but make sure you check that one out too.

It’s been a minute since I laced you with a Weekly Brew. I had to fall back and refocus on the direction I wanted to take the Series into. With the end of 2009, though, i felt I needed to collaborate with my good friend DJ Lee on a 2009 compilation.
