Damn! The homie Nick Nack mentioned  to me that he was going to be putting out a new album soon…but damn! After a six year hiatus, the Austin based dj and producer returns with “Dearly Departed” a sound project dedicated to his departed sister. The Austin music icon will be releasing a series of 7″ records prior to the full album through his Crowd Control Records label, with the first arriving in time for SXSW. I’m sure there will be some available at the Gigacrate.com SXSW parties, which you should RSVP to immediately if you are even thinking of being in Austin for SXW.

Wow…that’s really all I have to say about this. What a way to celebrate the life of the one and only Freddie Mercury, who died on this day in 1991. Way to go Muppets.

I saw this video from Duece Poppi posted on Austin Surreal. Haven’t really heard anything more from Duece Poppi, but this song is hilarious and it sounds like the type of track that can spawn some dope remixes.
