Oddisee West Coast Beats – Hosted By Trek Life

DC area based producer Oddisee took a trip out west while producing Trek Life’s latest album and as he says on the bandcamp page, ” I don’t know if it was the palm trees, beaches, or burgers but this is what I was making in LA.”

Trek Life’s album, “Everything Changed Nothing” produced entirely by Oddisee drops on July 27th, and you can check some of it out on Trek Life’s  MySpace page.

Classixx Mix

Yo, Classixx have got to be my favorite djs right now. I discovered them myself after the homie Chop Steak included their remix to Mayer Hawthorne’s “Green Eyed Love” on a recent mix and I’ve been addicted to their sound ever since. I had the pleasure of seeing them spin at Malverde at SXSW, they did not disappoint! Searched around for a bit, looking for some mixtapes and found this one online from a while back. I think this mix is from 2008, which is right around the time things really started ramping up for them. Anyway, pretty dope overall, check it out!

Beat Junkie, Dj Rhettmatic posted up an 87 minute mix from June 1st’s ‘ “The Do-Over” a weekly  party going down in LA this summer. The mix includes some hip-hop, funk, reggae, and even some Dilla exclisives.
