My effin Gawd, I cannot keep up. The best job done, regarding fee parties is Austinist’s SXSWist’s because I seriously cannot keep up with this stuff! I posted what I could…this shit is seriously overwhelming! Look through it, see what you like, RSPV ASAP.

Yo! With the music festival of all music festivals less than a month away, looks like more information on the free parties is starting to flow in. Here are some that I think look pretty cool, make sure you check out Austinist for a crazy comprehensive list and follow their special SXSW twitter feed @sxswist

One of the most interesting looking parties/shows is the Six Stages over Texas block party with VIP tickets including free bourbon, beer and free food…not quite sure what the heck it’s all about, but will update when I find out.

Austin360 recently put up a list of unofficial parties as well, looks like there will be plenty going on.

Austin based OG of Luxury Mindz stayed busy during this year’s SXSW and now you can see some of the work he did during the three day music festival. The collection includes  SXSW participant Bun-B, B.O.B. aka Bobby Ray, Mistah Fab, Big Boi, Janelle Monae and Asher Roth. Go over to OG’s site to view the full collection.

The shoe is a collaboration between Supra, Spin Magazine and Stubbs Bar B Q, but despite making it’s world premiere at SXSW in Austin, it appears that the music festival was the last time Austin will actually get a peek at the limited edition shoe. According to Supra, the shoe is limited to 1000 pairs worldwide and the PicnicTyme blog gives this list as the retailers that will receiving the shoe.

Well, at least Austin still gets the bar b q, while the rest of the world can have their damn shoe and I’m sure barbecued shoe tastes terrible.

THIS IS IT, the massive blowout off the hook SXSW 54 Reality Show special. It’s jam packed from beginning to end full with Celebrity shout outs, live performances, and all the craziness involved with SXSW. For real shout out to the homie Matt Sonzala for putting ya boys down.

First up we pick up the hard copies of our newest release CREW DEEP (see more below), then head to check out Yarah Bravo putting it down at a Pre-SXSW performance. On Tuesday we rocked a show with Feddi Man, The G.U.U.D., and Dubb Sicks at Tap Room. Big up’s to the Superstar DJ’s, DJ Protege, Matt Nice, and Dj Clark Field for putting it down.

Then Crew54 actually splits up, G-Christ heads to catch Blu & Exile rocking, while I slid down to Fuze to check out local favorites T-Solo and Dred Skott. We met back up at Mohawk to catch SXSW Soul featuring Kendra Ross, Wayna, Maya Azucena, Neckbone, Bavu Blakes, and Mojoe.

Austin based clothing company 3rd ID recruited some high quality underground talents, including Table Manners Crew and Dj Kid Slyce to contribute to this free SXSW giveaway. The mixtape includes tracks from Drake, The Breakfast Club  Crew, and Kid Slyce puts it all together nicely. We posted up the track, Good Day, from this compilation a few days and now, on the first day of SXSW, Crew54 along with Zillasays.com have released the full 20 track special edition album. The album features other Texas underground artists including 20/20, Bavu and V-Zilla and features production from Keelay and Zaire, Da Bosnian, and Kwestro.

Crew54 are now quite a few releases deep and keep getting more buzz as their music gets in more peoples hands and people get put on to their self produced online reality show. If your in Austin for SXSW, don’t miss them Friday March 20 at the Back Alley Social Club, you might be able to get some face time on the 54reality show and become an online celebrity, like this guy.

One of my all time favorite Austin bands, Voxtrot, has put up a new track for download at Voxtrot.net. The band’s frontman Ramesh Srivastava acknowledges the absence of recent material from the group and gives their fans a bit of hope of new projects in the future:

Things have been rather quiet round the Voxtrot camp these last two years. Nonetheless, we are thrilled to be reentering the musical minds of you and your loved ones. During the week of the South By Southwest Music Festival, we will be performing two concerts. These will coincide with the premier of a new song, which was recorded and mixed with Jim Eno [Spoon] at his studio in Austin..

Regarding our absence, sometimes one needs to disappear in order to regroup; situations change and human beings are swept here and there by the marvelous ebb and flow of culture.

And so, there can be only this: a return to a love of music.
