The Guud is a collective of emcees from Austin Texas consisting of Young Nick, Mirage, Trashman and Blacc Goliath. “30 Days (Choices)” features members Young Nick and Mirage and is a track off of the upcoming mixtape, The Four Elements, dropping later this summer in anticipation of their album The Guudnes.

More About The GUUD
THE G.U.U.D are a new music collective hailing from The Live Music Capital of the world Austin Texas. The G.U.U.D is a unique collective made up of 4 soloists: Young Nick, Mirage, Trashman and Blacc Goliath from different personal and musical backgrounds. What sets them apart from other “groups” is that they have started this collective based on humility and respect for each other’s style and catalog. Each member is 5 or more years into solo careers and has dedicated followings. Within the collective there is representation of every genre in hip-hop.

Young Nick is originally from Austin, Texas but as a military brat he has lived in many places such as Virginia, Washington state, and various places in Michigan. His extensive travel has added something intangible to his style and makes him able to adapt to any music style. Young Nick has an old soul and a young mans gusto, one of his nicknames is “young go get em”. His style entails all forms of hip-hop he has been exposed and that old soul music that it was built on. Nick is a producer / emcee / C.E.O. His tracks comprise 90% of what you will hear on “The Guudness”

Blacc Goliath hails from New Orleans, although he has been a Texan for more than 10 years, the N.O influence is there every time he is on the microphone. Goliath’s style also brings the west coast to mind as well. Goliath brings an exciting delivery, colorful wordplay, and a lot of charisma to the mix. He has a presence that is undeniable, standing 6’8 and 320 lbs of muscle.

Mirage has been called a soulful blues singer in a rappers body, not because he sings but he brings something vintage yet contemporary to his style. Mirage brings that foundation boom bap to the mix as well as a very soulful quality to the mix. He prides himself on the content of his lyrics as well as his developing skill as a producer and composer. He contributed 2 tracks to “The Guudness”. He is an elder statesman being that he has years of experience in the industry.

Trashman aka POP hails from North Carolina but has been in Texas for more than a decade. Trashman brings the Southeast crunk ethic to the mix. He has a fiery delivery and gets more than crunk on stage. Even with all of his energy he brings he also projects a great deal of knowledge and insight to his lyrics that is taken from his real life experience.

The combination of all these styles as well as a tremendous work ethic that is shared by all the members in the collective will make this album a classic. Not only does it include group cuts as well as solo cuts. Each member steps outside of their own box to create continuity through out the album .
